Mauritania and Saudi Arabia have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration within the clean energy sector.
The agreement covers a wide array of areas, including renewables, green hydrogen, power, and carbon capture technologies.
The MOU was signed by Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud and Mauritanian Minister of Petroleum, Mines, and Energy Nani Ould Chrougha during a special session at the World Economic Forum in Riyadh last Monday.
This partnership aims to elevate the utilization of cleaner fossil-fuel technologies by incorporating cutting-edge practices to minimize environmental impacts.
It emphasizes the deployment of carbon capture, utilization, and storage technologies, alongside efforts to enhance energy efficiency.
Furthermore, the agreement seeks to foster collaborative ventures and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and technology in the power and renewable energy domains.
It aims to drive collective initiatives in green hydrogen and sustainable energy technologies, propelling both nations towards a greener and more sustainable future.
