De Beers Unveils 2024 Sight Dates

De Beers has released its sales schedule for this year, with plans to hold the usual 10 sights across the 12-month period.

The miner sells most of its rough to sightholders through a contract system under which clients make certain purchasing commitments in return for consistent supply.

Over the last few cycles, the company has allowed sight holders to buy fewer goods amid oversupply issues and weak demand, aiming to rebalance the market.

De Beers expects rough trading to improve, but at a gradual pace, CEO Al Cook said last month. The miner will offer sightholders up to 20% less supply by value this year due to declines in rough prices, market insiders told Rapaport News.

The dates for De Beers’ 2024 sights are as follows:

Sight 1: January 15 to 19
Sight 2: February 26 to March 1
Sight 3: April 2 to 5
Sight 4: May 6 to 10
Sight 5: June 10 to 14
Sight 6: July 22 to 26
Sight 7: August 26 to 30
Sight 8: October 7 to 11
Sight 9: November 11 to 15
Sight 10: December 9 to 13
