Angola’s Associated Gas Production Reaches 2.37 MMCF Per Day in the Past Month

Last month, the associated gas production was 71.11 million cubic feet (MMCF), with an average of 2.37 MMCF per day.

Out of this, 1.50 million were injected, 417 million were supplied to the ALNG factory, 325 million were used for power generation at the oil facilities, and the remainder was used in oil operations and transportation.

The report adds that during the month of September, ALNG produced 2.9 million barrels of oil equivalent, averaging 99.4 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, resulting in LNG production of 78.7 thousand barrels, 9.2 thousand of propane, 6.5 thousand of butane and condensates, and 4.8 thousand of condensates.

In the same period, the associated gas production for the Cabinda Association was 1.1 thousand cubic feet, allowing the extraction of 340.2 thousand barrels of LPG, with an average of 11.3 thousand barrels per day, divided into 6.5 thousand barrels of propane and 4.5 thousand of butane.

The production of oil and LPG amounted to 34.1 million barrels of oil equivalent, with a daily average of 1.1 thousand barrels of oil equivalent.

The operational efficiency of the facilities was 88.5 percent, compared to the initial estimate of 90.71 percent.

For the period under review, Angola’s total withdrawals were 31.8 million barrels of oil, averaging 1.06 million barrels per day, as opposed to the projected 1.13 million barrels.

ANPG withdrew approximately 8.3 million barrels (26 percent of the total withdrawals), SNL Pesquisa e Produção 4.05 million barrels (13 percent), and SNL EP around 1.07 million barrels (3.00 percent of the total withdrawals).

In September, there were 12 drilling units in operation, including seven drilling ships (Sonandril West Gemini, Sonangol Libongos, Valaris DS-09, Sonangol Quenguela, Transocean Skyros, Valaris DS 12, and Sapem 12000), one Jack Up Shelf Drilling Tenaciou, one Tender SKD Jaya, one Tension Leg Platform TLP-A, and two onshore drilling units FALCON HP-1000 and SA_02.

Work was carried out on 26 wells, including seven intervention operations, 17 drilling and completion operations, and two exploration operations, with a total drilling depth of 9,894 meters. Three intervention operations were completed in production wells.
