The National Oil, Gas, and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) signed three production sharing contracts with ETU Energias and ACREP for blocks CON 2, CON 8, and KON 19 in Luanda last week.
According to a press release, the signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil, and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo.
Block CON 2 will be operated by ETU Energias, with Effimax and Simples Oil as partners. Similarly, ETU Energias will also operate Block CON 8, partnering with Effimax, Simples Oil, and Enagol. Block KON 19 will be operated by ACREP, with Afentra and Enagol as partners.
Minister Azevedo emphasized that the 2023-2027 Development Plan includes a range of programs and actions for the oil sector.
These initiatives aim to maintain oil production sustainability, monitor natural gas resources, achieve self-sufficiency in refined products, and increase onshore storage capacity.
He highlighted the implementation of oil and gas production and exploration strategies in various sedimentary basins, both onshore and offshore.
Paulino Jerónimo, chairman of the ANPG Board of Directors, noted that the signing of these contracts is crucial for the operationalization of the three blocks.
He stated that this will contribute to the consolidation of the work of the operators and other members of the contractor groups in the Angolan oil industry, transforming national oil potential into commercial wealth.
