This equal partnership is focused on supplying green hydrogen, ammonia, and fertilisers to Morocco, Europe, and global markets.

Additionally, the venture aims to develop manufacturing facilities and a research and development hub to propel the renewable energy sector in Morocco forward.

Andrew Forrest, Fortescue’s executive chairperson and founder, emphasized Morocco’s potential in the global energy transition, citing its abundant wind and solar resources and strategic geographic location.

The collaboration with OCP, known for its global industrial leadership, reflects a shared commitment to investing in renewable energy and innovative technologies to combat global emissions.
