ENDIAMA Highlights Sustainable Diamond Mining and Transparency During Kimberley Process Assessment in Angola
Angola’s state-owned diamond company, ENDIAMA E.P., has reaffirmed its commitment to responsible diamond mining, transparency and sustainable development during a review visit by a delegation from the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS).
The delegation, currently in Angola to evaluate the country’s implementation of rough diamond certification mechanisms, met with ENDIAMA’s Board of Directors on Monday as part of the official assessment process.
During the meeting, ENDIAMA presented its strategic vision for the sustainable growth of Angola’s diamond industry, outlining the company’s efforts to promote responsible mining while delivering long-term social and economic benefits.
The company highlighted its community development programmes in mining regions, showcasing initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods, supporting local infrastructure and enhancing social welfare.
ENDIAMA also shared its achievements over the past year, emphasising progress in operational performance, corporate governance, sustainability and transparency.
Two corporate presentations were screened during the visit one focusing on the company’s social responsibility programmes and another highlighting its major milestones and accomplishments throughout 2025.
The engagement provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange experiences and discuss best practices in responsible diamond governance.
It also enabled the Kimberley Process delegation to gain deeper insight into ENDIAMA’s role in implementing internationally recognised standards designed to prevent the trade of conflict diamonds and strengthen confidence in Angola’s diamond sector.
The review visit forms part of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme’s ongoing efforts to assess member countries’ compliance with international standards, reinforcing transparency, accountability and the integrity of the global diamond trade.
