A delegation from the United States of America Development Finance Corporation, headed by the General Manager of Structured Finance, Nancy Riveira, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas, to obtain more information about the Mining and Hydrocarbon Sector.
The Secretary of State for Mineral Resources, Jânio Corrêa Victor who was representing the Minister Diamantino Azevedo at the meeting, provided the necessary clarifications to the American delegation, which has expressed interest in granting an initial loan of 250 million dollars for the Lobito Corridor Project, as well as for future investments in Angola.
Jâneo Victor highlighted the importance of the Lobito Corridor in the export of mining and oil products to the SADC region, and stated that the diamond sub-sector could also benefit of the infrastructure to carry logistical support materials for the companies located in Eastern Angola.
The meeting was attended by the National Director of Mineral Resources, Paulo Tanganha, the Director of the Office for Studies, Statistics and Planning, Alexandre Garrett, the president of ENDIAMA-E.P, Ganga Júnior, administrators of Sonangol, ANRM and ANPG.
