By the end of the year, Angolan company Kwame Oil e Gás will invest $1 million to improve infrastructure and high-pressure washing equipment in oil tanks, announced General Director Aurélio dos Santos on Monday in Luanda.
In an interview with Jornal de Angola, dos Santos highlighted that unlike some local companies, Kwame Oil e Gás, a consortium with 100 percent Angolan capital, prioritizes the training and development of local young people with no prior experience.
The company conducts various internal training sessions aimed at enhancing quality and skills.
Since commencing operations in December 2020, the company has hired around 14 permanent employees and 16 service providers. Dos Santos noted that the company plans to increase its workforce and production capacity.
He also mentioned that key positions within the company are held by young individuals aged between 22 and 23 years old.
Dos Santos praised the National Oil and Gas Agency (ANPG) for its role in enabling many companies to enter the sector.
He emphasized the importance of the rigorous registration process that ensures small companies are well-organized and capable of collaborating with multinationals on various projects.
The general director outlined the company’s future plans to strengthen and expand its current achievements, including completing the metal structure repair base at Benfica.
He acknowledged the risks in the market but stressed the need for adaptation and proactive measures to stay ahead of challenges.
As part of its strategy to combat market errors, the company plans to implement proactive actions and processes to overcome downturns.
In addition to its commercial activities, Kwame Oil e Gás launched the Kwame-Menda project in 2023 as part of its social responsibility efforts.
This initiative provided food to 300 children at the Luther Rescova Shelter in Viana (Luanda). This year, the company aims to increase the number of beneficiaries to more than 1,000 children.
