The country’s oil revenue during the first half of this year was estimated at 4.17 billion kwanzas as a result of the export of 209 million barrels at an average price of US$99.68, equivalent to more than 70 percent of annual forecasts. for the sector.
The data are contained in the oil sector performance report, available since Monday on the Ministry of Finance’s institutional website.
For the aforementioned indicators, for example, the National Concessionaire – National Agency of Oil and Gas (ANPG) – contributed with an estimated revenue of 2.47 billion kwanzas.
The remaining amount comes from the tax contribution of the Petroleum Income Tax (IRP) with 1.06 billion kwanzas; Petroleum Production Tax (IPP) with 164.05 billion and the Petroleum Transaction Tax (ITP) with 112.5 billion kwanzas.
Over the first six months of that year, the highest average price was calculated in April, at US$119.52, while the lowest was calculated in January, at just US$75.1.
In terms of production, the month with the best performance was January, with 37.5 million barrels, and the least active month was February, with an export supply of 31.8 million barrels.
With regard to the monthly revenue ranking, January also led with 1.06 billion kwanzas and February, here too, took the tail with only 412.3 billion kwanzas.
The General State Budget for 2022 set an average price of US$59 per barrel of oil, which means that, in the first half of the year, the positive difference between the estimated and realized value was US$40.68.
