The South Sudan Oil & Power (SSOP) 2024 show was officially launched by South Sudan’s Ministry of Petroleum and organizer Energy Capital & Power.
As a member of OPEC+, South Sudan is positioning itself as a player in the international petroleum sector and is becoming an attractive destination for onshore oil and gas investment. SSOP 2024 is scheduled to take place in Juba from June 25-28, 2024.
During the OPEC 8th International Seminar in Vienna, Hon. Minister Puot Kang Chol highlighted the significance of South Sudan’s resources in achieving growth and energy security.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration with partner nations and organizations to balance priorities and ensure sustainable development.
Minister Kang Chol invited delegates to explore investment opportunities in South Sudan’s exploration, production, development, midstream, and downstream projects.
The South Sudan Oil & Power energy summit brings together participants from the energy industry in East Africa’s primary oil producer.
As the seventh edition of the summit, following a successful sixth conference in Juba in June, SSOP has established itself as the leading platform for dealmaking and decision-making in South Sudan during a crucial phase of the country’s growth.
The summit aims to attract the private sector, investors, regional leaders, high-profile national delegations, national oil companies (including South Sudan’s NOC, Nilepet), and government ministries related to petroleum, finance, energy, dams, mining, and more.
The event, scheduled for June 25-28, 2024, in Juba, will feature a high-level conference spanning two days, two additional days of workshops, presentations, and site visits, as well as a gala dinner and other networking functions.
The Radisson Blu hotel and the Pyramid Continental Hotel will host the event. Energy Capital & Power eagerly anticipates welcoming energy investors and delegations from around the world to Juba in June 2024.
