Pumangol reported a significant 45% increase in jet fuel (Jet-A1) sales over three months. In the second quarter of this year, the company earned 7.2 billion kwanzas from Jet-A1 sales, marking a notable rise compared to the previous quarter.
The surge in sales is attributed to the acquisition of new customers and an increase in the number of weekly flights by existing customers, according to a statement cited by Angop.
Despite a 19% year-to-date decrease in accumulated volume compared to the same period last year, Pumangol aims to recover and expand its customer base.
Additionally, there was a substantial increase in retail fuel sales, totaling 182,802 metric tons—a 7.3% growth compared to the same period in 2023.
Diesel sales reached 98,645 metric tons, a 12.8% increase from the second quarter of last year, while gasoline sales rose to 84,157 metric tons, up 1.5%.
Pumangol also saw a 14% rise in bulk fuel sales, totaling 139,227 metric tons compared to the same period in 2023.
Overall, the company experienced a 9% increase in global sales for the second quarter, driven by strong performances in both Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) segments.
