The Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas announced the Summer Scholarships (SFP) programme, promoted by the Organization of Petroleum Producing Countries (OPEC), to take place at the headquarters of the institution’s secretariat, in Vienna, Austria, from July to September 2023.
According to a press release from the institution, the SFP aims to increase interaction between research teams from the OPEO Secretariat and specialists from Member States.
Participation in the Program is open to professionals and scientists who are actively engaged in fields of research related to energy in general and petroleum in particular. As in previous years, the expected duration of the Program is six to eight weeks.
Selected candidates are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation costs, while OPEC will provide office space as well as desktop computers and a library. The working language is English.
