Angolan oil production reached 35.631 million barrels in July, an increase of 2.023 million barrels compared to the previous month, as announced by the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas, and Biofuels (ANPG) in its monthly production summary released yesterday.
In the month of July, from an expected production of 1,132,364 barrels of oil per day (bpd), Angola produced 1,149,393 bpd, surpassing expectations according to the hydrocarbon concession agency. The figures presented by ANPG indicate that for the past four months, Angolan production had not reached the 35 million barrel mark, being at 33.607 million barrels in June and 34.438 million barrels in May.
In the months of March and April, production was even lower, at around 30.059 million and 31.665 million barrels respectively. The July production results constitute an increase in the country’s crude oil production, with its trend yet to be determined.
Associated gas production for the same period, July, amounted to 84.702 million cubic feet, averaging 2.732 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). Compared to the previous period, associated gas production experienced an increase of 5.544 million cubic feet.
Of the total volume of associated gas produced in July, 1.422 MMSCFD were injected, 636 MMSCFD were made available to the ALNG factory, 334 MMSCFD were used for power generation at the oil facilities, and the remaining amount was utilized in oil operations and transport.
