Oil Production Reached More than 30 million barrels

Angola’s oil production for the month of January was 34 million 294 thousand 39 barrels, corresponding to a daily average of 1 million 106 thousand 285 barrels of oil/day against 1 million 197 thousand 939 barrels forecast.

According to the monthly production summary of the National Petroleum and Gas Agency (ANPG), production of associated gas during the month of January was 82 million 534 thousand cubic feet, corresponding to a daily average of 2 million 662 thousand cubic feet . 

Of this number, 1 million 289 thousand cubic feet correspond to those injected, 773 thousand were made available for the ALNG plant and 317 thousand cubic feet for energy generation in oil installations and the remainder used in operations and oil disposal.

During the same period, the ALNG plant had a production of 4 million 205 thousand 371 barrels of oil equivalent, corresponding to a daily average of 135 thousand 657 barrels of oil equivalent, with LNG production being 110 thousand 226 barrels of oil , 11 thousand 374 of propane, 7 thousand 986 of butane and 6 thousand 071 barrels of condensed oil.

The production of associated gas by the Association of Cabinda was 1 million 017 thousand cubic feet, allowing the extraction of 302 thousand 824 barrels of LPG corresponding to a daily average of 9 thousand 769 barrels, divided into the production of 5 thousand 300 barrels of propane and 4 thousand 063 barrels of butane.

Oil and LPG production was 34 million 597 thousand 663 barrels of oil equivalent, corresponding to a daily average of 1 million 116 thousand 054 barrels of oil equivalent.

The operational efficiency of the installations was 88.90% against 93.01% initially forecast.

For the period under review, withdrawals from Angola were 35 million 723 thousand 348 barrels, corresponding to an average of 1 million 051 thousand 394 barrels of oil per day, against 1 million 152 thousand 366 barrels forecast.

ANPG lifted around 11 million 305 thousand 242 barrels (32 percent of total withdrawals), SNL P&P 4 million 771 thousand 110 barrels (13 percent) and SNL EP 2 million 402 thousand 100 barrels (7 percent) .

Additionally, in the month of January, 11 drilling units were active, five drillships, namely the West Gemini, Sonangol Libongos, Valaris DS-09, Sonangol Quenguela, Drillship (Skyros), and semi sub (Scarabeo 9), Tender SKD Jaya, TLP-A Tension Leg Platform, Tenaciou Jack Up Shelf Drilling Rig, one (1) FALCON HP-1000 land rig, as well as an LWIV intervention unit (Island Constructor).Work was carried out on 26 wells, six of which were intervention operations, 19 were drilling/completion operations and one was research, making a total of 21,141 meters drilled. Two development wells (producers), one injector well, three interventions in wells (2 producers and 1 injector) and the abandonment of a producer well were also concluded.
