The company Oceaneering International announced the signing of two contracts worth 100 million US dollars for the provision of offshore support services, in oil and gas projects, in Angola and Guyana (overseas region of France on the Northeast coast of South America).

According to news on the PetroAngola website, in the first contract, Oceaneerin will provide transport and installation services as part of the project to extend the useful life of the Girassol field offshore Angola.

Work encompasses aerial diving and saturation services, project management, engineering and procurement activities in support of the recovery and replacement of 12 risers, in collaboration with the main contractor, TechnipFMC.

TechnipFMC has been selected to carry out subsea work for Total Energies in August 2023.

The offshore field is located in Block 17, and is operated by Total Energies EP Angola, holding a 38 percent stake.

Partners in this concession include Equinor, with a 22.16 percent stake, Exxon Mobil (19), BP (15.84) and Sonangol (5).

Oceaneering International has also secured a contract to provide services on a jumper installation project in the Stabroek Block, located off the coast of Guyana.

Contract details include jumper installation and subsea field development, along with related tasks. Supply work is already underway and is expected to be completed later this year.

ExxonMobil is the operator of the Stabroek Block, holding a 45 percent stake, while partners Hess Corporation and China National Offshore Oil Corporation hold 30 and 25 percent, respectively.

The president and CEO of Oceaneering International, Roderick Larson, said that the recently obtained contracts confirm the company’s growing presence in international activity, supporting confidence in the revitalization of global offshore activity and market prospects for the coming years.
