Norwegian company To Recruit more than 40 Graduates for the Oil industry

The Norwegian company that provides maintenance services for oil tanks, Dof Subsea Angola, has announced for the next few days the hiring and training of around 40 young technicians who have recently graduated and have no professional experience, as part of a partnership with two Angolan universities.

The information was advanced last week, in a press conference, by the Executive Vice President of DOF for Africa and Europe Jan-Kristian Haukeland, noting that 50 percent of the staff will be trained for “onshore” operations (on land) and the same number for work “offshore” (in the sea).

According to the plan presented to the journalists, the focus is on technicians from all areas, with emphasis on ROV pilots, geophysicists and field operations technicians (offshore), while for onshore tasks, priority goes to logistics and risk management technicians, due to the high need for personnel in these categories.

“The objective is to give these recent graduates the opportunity to have a first experience that is so demanded in the oil sector. For this reason, Dof Subsea Angola and the Association of Oil Industry Service Providers (AECIPA) launched the CRIAR project, consubstantiated in the recruitment and development of personnel for the sector”, he said.
