Neosun Energy to Build Solar Power System for Jetpark in Johannesburg

Neosun Energy has secured a contract with Palisades Business Park to install a solar power system at Jetpark in Johannesburg, South Africa. The project aims to reduce grid electricity consumption and lower operational energy costs**.

The grid-tied solar PV system will feature 1,380 Longi 580W N-type panels, providing an 800 kWp installed capacity.

Designed for maximum efficiency, the system is expected to generate approximately 1.347 GWh of clean energy annually, offsetting nearly 55% of Jetpark’s electricity needs and cutting expenses by reducing reliance on traditional power sources.

The solar installation will significantly reduce carbon emissions, preventing approximately 905 tons of CO₂ per year —equivalent to eliminating 2,095 barrels of oil or avoiding the combustion of over one million pounds of coal.

Jeanine Jackson, Head of Sales for Neosun Energy South Africa, emphasized the company’s commitment to tailored solar solutions that maximize financial and environmental benefits**.

“We are thrilled to be part of this project, especially as our client will benefit from the 12B tax incentive.

Our top priority is addressing their energy concerns with an efficient, cost-saving solution,” Jackson stated.

Neosun Energy is expanding its footprint across South Africa, with offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg, and a newly opened branch in Durban.

The company highlights that solar power is now the most affordable energy source, making it a game-changer for businesses looking to cut costs and enhance energy security.

“Our expansion into the South African market presents a major opportunity for businesses to tackle rising energy costs and power shortages,” said Ilya Likhov, CEO of Neosun Energy.

“We are committed to delivering advanced solar solutions that drive efficiency, lower costs, and support sustainable development.

Real change happens when businesses embrace forward-thinking energy strategies, and we are here to ensure a smooth transition.”
