Angola’s National Diamond Company Highlights Sustainability and Social Responsibility at Expo Catoca
The National Diamond Company of Angola is participating in the inaugural edition of Expo Catoca, presenting an exhibition that highlights its diverse areas of operation, with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
The event, which concludes on Thursday, July 28, has impressed participants and coincides with the 30th anniversary of Sociedade Mineira de Catoca.
During the opening ceremony, Diamantino Azevedo, Angola’s Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, emphasized that Expo Catoca celebrates not just a company, but a vision: the transformation of mineral resources into progress, challenges into opportunities, and hard work into hope for millions of Angolans.
He also paid tribute to Catoca’s employees, acknowledging their essential role in the company’s success.
“You are the true creators of this success. Without your talent, dedication, and courage, none of this would be possible. You are the vital energy of this company, and that is why it remains strong, resilient, and admired worldwide,” Azevedo said.
