The minister of Education, Luisa Grilo, inaugurated Thursday, 23, in Namibe province a primary school No. 113, named after “Manuel Francisco Peú”, which is located at Valódia neighborhood, in the Moçâmedes municipality.
Fully equipped, the school was built from scratch with funding from SODIAM – E.P., and it is the result of a protocol signed between the government of that province, the National Company of Diamond Commercialization of Angola and Fundação Brilhante, the social face of the diamond sub-sector.
The president of SODIAM- E.P., Eugénio Bravo da Rosa, made known on the occasion, the importance of the contribution of diamonds for the Angolan state revenues and to the stimulation of national economic activity, stressing, on the other hand, that children should continue to deserve special attention, in terms of education and health to ensure a better future.
