Angolan President João Lourenço reiterated the value that Angola-Italy cooperation will continue to play in advancing the development of the country’s economy.
Speaking during a state visit to Italy this week, the President made clear his country’s intention to strengthen bilateral ties, leveraging Italian expertise, technology and capital to generate new investment across high potential markets in the southern African country.
According to the President, with mutually beneficial partnerships representing an important strategy for increasing job creation, stimulating business and widespread industry growth, Italy has emerged as the partner of choice for the country.
“That is why we have chosen Italy, an essential partner in this era in which Angola is making diplomacy a fundamental instrument to generate business,” President Lourenço stated.
President Lourenço is in Rome for a two-day visit aimed at strengthening trade and business ties between the two countries. During the visit, the President will meet with several Italian authorities including President Sergio Mattarella; Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni; President of the Senate Ignacio La Russa; and President of the Chamber of Deputies Lorenzo Fontana.
