Golden Deeps has initiated a new diamond drilling program targeting the Nosib copper-silver deposit on its Otavi Mountain Land tenements in northern Namibia.
The Nosib deposit, initially defined in June 2024, features a significant zone of copper-vanadium-lead-silver oxide and supergene mineralization from surface levels.
As drilling extends deeper and further west, the deposit transitions into a primary copper-silver stratabound sulphide zone, hosted by the Nosib Formation clastic sediments—an uncommon geological setting in a region known for carbonate-hosted deposits like Tsumeb.
A notable 2023 drill hole intersected 44.22 meters at 0.50% copper and 3.2 g/t silver from a depth of 34.8 meters, including a 0.49-meter semi-massive sulphide zone grading 10.3% copper and 56.9 g/t silver.
The current drilling campaign will consist of up to three diamond drill holes reaching depths of up to 330 meters, focused on expanding the thickening copper-silver sulphide zone both westward and deeper.
The first drill hole, now underway, is probing the down-dip extension of NSBDD0017, with subsequent step-out holes planned on 20-meter-spaced sections.
Located at the western end of EPL 3543, approximately 20 km southwest of Abenab, the Nosib prospect has delivered several impressive, high-grade intersections of vanadium, copper, lead, and silver over the past year, marking it as a promising exploration target for Golden Deeps.
