This Tuesday 7th Mar, the European Investment Bank (EIB) reaffirmed its commitment to finance projects in Angola in the Energy and Water, Health and Agro-industry sectors.
The matter was analyzed today 8th Mar, in Doha, Qatar, at a meeting between the Minister of Economy and Planning, Mário João, and the vice-president of the EIB, Thomas Ostros, on the sidelines of the 5th United Nations Conference on Least Forwards, LDC5 (acronym in English), which takes place in that country in the Persian Gulf.
According to information published on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the electrical interconnection between Angola and Namibia and the project to expand access to energy and water was also discussed.
The European Investment Bank estimates that EUR 60 million will be available to finance agro-industrial projects (in the private sector), EUR 50 million for health resilience.
