Etu Energias Expands National Fuel Network with New Station at Cuca Factory in Luanda
Etu Energias inaugurated a new fuel station this Friday within the perimeter of the Cuca Factory in Luanda, marking another step in the company’s strategic expansion in Angola’s energy distribution sector. The announcement was made in a statement sent to VerAngola.
According to CEO Edson Santos, the opening of the Cuca Fuel Station (PA Cuca) “symbolizes Etu Energias’ commitment to the sustainable expansion of its presence in the national market.” He emphasized that the new unit reinforces the company’s mission to build a modern, safe, and efficient network of stations aligned with international standards of quality, safety, and reliability.
The company highlighted that this investment represents a decisive step in consolidating its strategy for expanding its distribution segment.
With an existing presence in Caxito, Sequele, and Viana, the addition of PA Cuca marks the beginning of a new phase of accelerated and structured growth.
Etu Energias aims to strengthen territorial proximity, improve customer experience, and expand its integrated offering of fuels and lubricants.
Santos also noted that Etu Energias is investing in the diversification of its energy portfolio. One of the company’s major upcoming initiatives is the construction of Angola’s first lubricant factory—an undertaking expected to boost national industrialization, reduce reliance on imported products, and create local economic value.
This project, he added, will position the company as a key contributor to the development of the petroleum derivatives value chain in Angola.
Etu Energias reaffirmed that its operations in distribution, transport, storage, and fuel logistics ensure high levels of operational efficiency, safety, and quality control. The company views vertical integration as a central pillar of its long-term growth strategy.
“We are consistently investing in diversifying our presence in the energy sector. The Cuca Power Plant is an expression of our long-term vision to build robust national infrastructure and contribute to strengthening Angola’s energy sovereignty,” said Santos.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by company leadership, partners, and institutional representatives, underscoring the importance of the new station for both Etu Energias’ expansion and the broader development of Angola’s energy sector.
