Dangote Refinery Exports PMS to Cameroon, Advancing Regional Energy Integration

The Dangote Refinery, Africa’s largest oil refinery, in partnership with Neptune Oil, has successfully exported Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to Cameroon for the first time.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in advancing regional energy integration and strengthening economic ties between Nigeria and Cameroon.

This historic collaboration highlights the shared commitment of both companies to addressing the region’s growing energy demands.

Speaking on the development, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of the Dangote Group, stated:

“This first export of PMS to Cameroon is a tangible demonstration of our vision for a united and energy-independent Africa.

With this development, we are laying the foundation for a future where African resources are refined and exchanged within the continent for the benefit of our people.”

Antoine Ndzengue, Director and Owner of Neptune Oil, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the significance of the partnership for Cameroon:

“This partnership with Dangote Refinery marks a turning point for Cameroon. By becoming the first importer of petroleum products from this world-class refinery, we are bolstering our country’s energy security and supporting local economic development.

This initial supply, executed without international intermediaries, reflects our commitment to serving our markets independently and efficiently.”

Building on this success, Dangote Refinery and Neptune Oil are now exploring new initiatives to establish a reliable supply chain.

Their efforts aim to stabilize fuel prices, enhance energy accessibility, and unlock economic opportunities across the region.

This landmark export sets the stage for a future of strengthened collaboration within Africa’s energy sector, fostering self-reliance and sustainable development for the continent.
