Bourbon Logistics, a marine services company, has been awarded a comprehensive logistics contract to support an offshore exploration campaign in Namibia.
The six-month contract, granted by a major but undisclosed oil and gas company, involves drilling its first well off southern Namibia’s coast.
Bourbon Logistics’ responsibilities encompass the entire supply chain, including freight forwarding, logistics base services, and marine operations.
The company will manage international shipments, customs clearance for equipment, and base management services to ensure the project’s smooth execution.
As part of the contract, Bourbon Logistics will deploy three platform supply vessels—Bourbon Diamond, Bourbon Ruby, and Bourbon Topaz.
These vessels will play a critical role in supporting the offshore drilling activities. Additionally, the campaign will leverage the company’s proprietary data management system, enabling seamless operational planning, execution, and oversight.
“This new contract confirms Bourbon Logistics’ expertise and recognition by major oil and gas operators to bring increasingly comprehensive services to its clients in their most ambitious projects,” said Nicolas Chateau, Managing Director of Bourbon Logistics.
The project marks a significant step in offshore exploration in Namibia, highlighting the region’s growing prominence in the oil and gas sector.
