The National Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) and Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited (CABGOC), a subsidiary of Chevron, announced this Monday 6th March the start of oil production at the Lifua-A project, forecast to produce 6,500 barrels. per day.
According to an ANPG press release, the Lifua-A platform, in Block 0, is interconnected with existing facilities in the Takula area and is expected to produce a total of 6,500 barrels of oil per day from the Vermelha and Likouala reservoirs.
The document quoted by Lusa explains that the development strategy for this oil field is in line with the premises of the agency and CABGOC to expand innovative solutions, using existing facilities and services to reduce development and operating costs.
The Lifua field is located in Block 0 at a water depth of 70 meters and approximately 23 kilometers from the Angolan coast and the oil terminal in Malongo, Cabinda province.
