Angolan and Zambian Businesspeople Connect at 1st International Business Forum in Luena

Angolan and Zambian businesspeople gathered to exchange experiences at the 1st edition of the International Business Forum, which opened yesterday in Luena at the amphitheater of the Instituto Superior Politécnico do Moxico.

During the meeting, participants discussed topics such as “The Lobito Corridor,” “Opportunities for the Development of Moxico,” “The Role of the State in Boosting Tourism in the Angolan Region of the Okavango Zambezi,” “Business Opportunities in the Province of Moxico,” and “The Vision of the Western Province Within the Framework of Shared Opportunities and Businesses with the Province of Moxico.”

Governor of Moxico, Ernesto Muangala, emphasized the significance of the meeting in Luena, highlighting its importance in fostering cooperation between the provinces.

He remarked that this event, held a year after the initial two cooperation meetings, underscores the value placed on these collaborative relationships.

Governor Muangala viewed the event as a symbol of the commitment to the well-being and development of both regions’ populations.

He welcomed the presence of the distinguished delegation at the forum’s opening session, considering it a clear demonstration of the political and business will to deepen and facilitate bilateral economic relations.

According to Governor Muangala, the participation of local and international businesspeople reflects a collective pursuit of excellence in inter-provincial relations within the scope of economic diplomacy.

The partnerships being established, whether public or private, are seen as crucial.

“It is a shared understanding that commercial relations between businesspeople promote community growth, resulting in prosperity and the creation of more jobs,” he stated.
