Angola produced, in August this year, 36,406,716 barrels of oil, corresponding to an average of 1,174,410 barrels/day. Compared to July, there was a drop of 85,338 barrels, when the country produced 36,492,054 barrels of “crude”.
And according to the website of the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), during the same period, the production of associated gas was 89,522 million cubic feet, corresponding to a daily average of 2,888 million cubic feet Compared to the month of July, there was an increase of 2,089 million cubic feet, when 87,433 million cubic feet were produced. According to ANP data, in the same period, 1,536 cubic feet were injected, 730 were made available for the ALNG factory, 341 for power generation at oil facilities and the remainder used in oil operations and flow. During the month of August, the ALNG Factory produced 3,958,446 barrels of oil equivalent, corresponding to a daily average of 127,692 barrels of oil equivalent. Comparing to the month of July, there was an increase of 2,588,583, when 3,369,863 barrels of oil equivalent were produced.
Also during the month of August, LNG production was 102,219 barrels of oil equivalent, Propane was 11,518, Butane reached 7,863 and Condensates reached 6,091 barrels of oil equivalent. Associated gas production by the Cabinda Association was 1,195, which allowed the extraction of 384,585 barrels of LPG, corresponding to a daily average of 12,405 barrels. Daily production of propane was 7,138 barrels and butane was 4,827 barrels. In July, the production of associated gas from the Cabinda Association was 1,206, which allowed the extraction of 400,307 barrels of LPG, corresponding to a daily average of 12,913 barrels. Daily production of propane was 7,398 barrels and butane, 5,054 barrels. In August, Angola’s withdrawals totaled 37,006,597 barrels, corresponding to an average of 1,193,761 barrels of oil/day, against the forecast of 1,124,193 barrels. The ANPG raised around 9,759,883 barrels, which represented 26 percent of the total surveys, Sonangol Pesquisa & Produção raised 3,353,955 barrels, which represents 9 percent of the total surveys, and Sonangol Exploração & Produção raised 1,516 951 barrels, corresponding to 4 percent of total withdrawals.
Also in August, nine drilling units were in operation, five of which were drillships, namely the West Gemini, Sonangol Libongos, Valaris DS-09, Sonangol Quenguela and Transocean Skyros. A FALCON HP-1000 land probe, a Tender SKD Jaya, a Tension Leg Platform TLP-A and a Jack Up Shelf Drilling Tenacious Probe. Work was also carried out on 11 wells, 10 of which were drilling/completion operations and one appraisal well, for a total drilling of 7,302 meters, as well as a production development well.
