In November, Angola’s oil production recorded a decrease of approximately 9.0% compared to November 2022.
The National Petroleum, Gas, and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) released this data on December 15th in its Oil Production Report for that month.
The document indicates that November’s monthly production corresponded to an average of 1,083,768 barrels of oil per day (BOPD), below the forecast of 1,161,285, also ending up being lower than the October average of 1,147,203 BOPD.
In turn, associated gas production in that period was 75,357 million cubic feet, corresponding to a daily average of 2,512 million cubic feet (MMSCFD), with 1,302 MMSCFD injected, 601 made available to the Liquefied Natural Gas factory in Angola (ALNG), 307 for energy generation in oil installations and the remainder used in oil flow operations.
In November, the document adds, ALNG had a production of 3,269,694 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), at an average of 108,990 barrels of oil per day (BOEPD), with LNG production being 86,483 BOEPD, propane 10,277 , butane of 7,144 and condensates of 5,086.
In the same period, the Cabinda Association’s associated gas production was 1,008 MMSCFD, allowing the extraction of 288,516 barrels of LPG, at a daily average of 9,617 barrels, divided between propane production of 5,433 barrels and butane of 3,802 barrels.
Combined, oil and LPG production was 33,250,622 BOE, corresponding to a daily average of 1,108,354 barrels of oil equivalent and the operational efficiency of the facilities was 86 percent against 88 initially predicted.
