On Tuesday, the Angola-United Arab Emirates (UAE) Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) signed two cooperation agreements aimed at enhancing economic relations and creating more investment opportunities for businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and investors in both countries.
The agreements were signed by Bráulio Mohammed Martins, President of the Angola-UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Ahmed Khalifa Al Qubaisi, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Chamber.
These agreements are designed to facilitate the participation of both sides in international events, exhibitions, and commercial activities held in Abu Dhabi and Angola.
The signing ceremony was attended by Angolan Ambassador to the UAE, Júlio Maiato, who congratulated the management of the Angola-UAE Chamber of Commerce for achieving this historic milestone in relations between Angola and the UAE.
Ambassador Maiato commended the entire team, emphasizing that their efforts align with the Executive’s commitment, under President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, to seek partnerships that contribute to the country’s economic development.
According to a statement released by the Angolan Embassy, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce has outlined a strategy to actively contribute to improving the investment ecosystem in the UAE’s political and administrative capital. This strategy aims to increase competitiveness and attract greater foreign direct investment.
