Aliança Seguros issued last week, in Luanda, the policy for the second contract with MCA to ensure the construction of the second phase of the Rural Electrification Project, through the installation of solar panels in the provinces of Bié, Lunda-Norte, Lunda-Sul , Malanje and Moxico.
According to a press release, two million more solar panels will be installed in the southern region of the country.
Aliança Seguros was chosen to ensure the entire MCA – Angola Rural Electrification project, valued at around 1.2 billion euros, and which is part of a broader intervention program in renewable energy in the sub-Saharan Africa region, financed by USA.
“This is the second time that Aliança Seguros has been chosen to work with the same type of project, with this partnership being a huge challenge for all the teams involved, particularly due to the responsibility it entails and the knowledge and professionalism it requires. in this specific area of work”, reads the statement.
The president of the Company’s Executive Committee, António Henriques da Silva, cited in the same document, attaches great importance to this second contract, adding that ” Aliança Seguros was and is up to the challenges entrusted to it by the partner, in an area that is of special relevance for Angola and the energy transition process, towards the use of cleaner and renewable energies”.
