In June, Angola’s oil production totaled 34.6 million barrels, averaging 1.155 million barrels per day (MBPD). This represents a 0.87% increase from May’s output of 1.108 MBPD.
According to PetroAngola’s Monthly Petroleum Bulletin, Block 17 led production with an average of 393,655 barrels per day (KBPD), followed by Block 32 at 154,960 KBPD, and Block 0 at 147,205 KBPD.
Gas production also saw a rise, reaching 87,230 million cubic feet (MMSCF) in June, or a daily average of 2,908 million cubic feet (MMSCFD).
This is a 6.60% increase from May, which had a total of 81,826 MMSCF, averaging 2,640 MMSCFD.
Of the total gas produced, 44% was injected, 7% was used for power generation in oil installations, 19% was exported to the ALNG factory, 3% was burned, and 27% was utilized for gas lift operations.
In terms of pricing, Angolan crude sold at an average premium of $1.71 per barrel over Brent in June, reaching an average price of $82.96 per barrel. As of yesterday, Brent crude was priced at $85 per barrel.
