Luele Mine Set to Bolster National Diamond Production

Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil, and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, declared on Monday 27th November that the Luele Mine, situated in the province of Lunda-Sul, will significantly contribute to the country’s increased diamond output.

“This inauguration marks not just the commencement of a diamond mine but the establishment of a legacy characterized by respect, responsibility, and excellence, aiming for a prosperous future for our nation,” emphasized the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil, and Gas while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Luele Mine by President João Lourenço.

Expressing gratitude, Diamantino Azevedo acknowledged the Provincial Government of Lunda-Sul, traditional authorities, local communities, Minas Gerais Concession, and all dedicated workers involved in the construction of this significant diamond project.
