National Oil and Gas Agency promotes health project

The National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) is funding a health project with US$300,000, which will cover the whole country as part of its social responsibility activity.

According to the Executive Director, Gerson Santos, investment in projects of a social nature should be seen as the socially responsible contribution of the oil sector to improving the living conditions of the population, through the synergies created between the Executive bodies, the companies and civil society partners.

“This time we chose the fight against cancer as one of our causes, because it is a terrible disease, causing a lot of family suffering and which weakens the country’s productive force, in addition to putting too much pressure on the national health system. Consequently, if we focus on prevention, through timely screenings, we will be contributing to reducing the human suffering of our people, to improving general health and to increasing productivityā€¯, underlined Gerson Santos.

The ANPG, in partnership with the Doctors Club and the Carmo Church, launched the “Cancer Screening Project in the Communities”, which will implement campaigns to raise awareness and screen for breast cancer, cervico-uterine cancer and cervical cancer. prostate at 12 months.
