The diamond project, Yetwene, in Camissombo (Lucapa), Lunda-Norte province is back in production, started this Wednesday, 26th April after ten years of inactivity.
The entrance to the mining exploration phase takes place on the day that marks “Miner’s Day” and should be attended by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo and the governor of Lunda-Norte, Deolinda Vilarinho.
Association in Participation, the Yetuwe Project is formed by Endiama Mining, Mountain Stability, Sociedade Mineira de Investimentos da Lunda and All Magic, resulting from the Mining Investment Contract, for the prospecting, research, recognition and evaluation of diamond deposits in that concession of 508 thousand square kilometers.
Mountain Stability, promoter of this Participation Association, has so far invested 26 million dollars. Even before the return on investment, the project advanced with the construction of infrastructures, such as a school, health centre, support for the creation of an agricultural cooperative and other social actions, for the population, totaling US$176,000.
